Article 370 movie is starred by Yami Gautam , Priya Mani , Arun Govil and is directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale . The movie is expected to do well in the box office . It is a great appeal to nationalistic Indians who previously have appreciated movies like Kashmir Files , Uri : The surgical strike etc. as it is going to be in similar lines. The movie creating a lot of buzz in the social media after the release of its trailer on 5 feb.
The movie as name suggest based on the controversial article 370 in the constitution of India which has been repealed by government of India as a historic move creating uproar in Pakistan and around the world. Article 370 had given special status to the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K)where the muslim majority state could have their own constitution and most of provisions of constitution of India were not applicable to Jammu and Kashmir because of article 370. Controversial laws like if a girl marries outside the state of Jammu and Kashmir , she would loose all the paternal property claims in the state but not the same in case of boys. This was to prevent Kashmiri girls especially hindu girls to marry out side state so that the demography of kashmir doesn’t change.
Yami Gautam plays a role of an intelligence officer. She is in full flow. The trailer of the movie says the movie is based on true events of fighting terrorists in kashmir. The movie is produced by Yami Gautam’s beloved husband Aditya Dhar who had previously directed the film Uri: The surgical strike.
The timing of the movie is describing it as politically motivated as it suits the current BJP government considering the 18th Lok sabha polls is few months away in the month of may as the movie is getting released on Feb 23.
